Don’t judge a book

Don’t judge a book by its album cover.

I overheard a guy the other day make fun of another guy because he likes Queen’s music. He said, “the gays really got us on that one.” How’s that? He went on to say look at how they play Queen’s songs before ball games and other events to stir up the crowds. Don’t they all realize that those are gay songs?

Prior to that conversation, I didn’t realize that gays only sing for gays. I guess all this is beyond my scope of comprehension.

Freddie Mercury may be the greatest showman of our time. We lost him way to early. His voice was so incredible, his talent second to none. Put Mercury with Queen you may have the best rock band in history. I hope Pink Floyd doesn’t read this post.

At Queen’s concerts did they check for your gay card? I don’t think so. That ought to tell you something right there.

I think art of very facet is interpretive. It is up to the person experiencing it to decide what it means.

I had a person say that my photos were no better than snapshots. Oh my god put a dagger through my eyes. I can’t live any longer. What the dumb*** didn’t realize is that I call my own photographs snapshots.

My snapshots becomes art when someone thinks they’re art. To me it is a no brainier. Some of my works have been published in magazines, travel guides, various websites, newspapers, and because of Getty Images, some hang on the walls of corporations. But it was completely up to the people who chose my works to decide they are art.

Mr. Mercury, forgive me for considering your great accomplishments above your orientation.

I took over my father’s blog September of 2017 after losing his battle with mental illness. This blog was originally to share my journey through grieving, finding peace, and trusting God in the process...and in many ways is exactly that. This has evolved into life as a family of 4 with 2 dogs, living in the Midwest. I will cover everything from fashion to our family routines. Join us on this crazy adventure!
